Welcome to the South Texas State Fair!

DAILY ADMISSION PRICES: Kids 2 years and under FREE. Youth, 3 ‑ 12 years, $4.00; Adults 13 – 64 years, $8.00; Senior Citizens 65 and over, $4.00; Parking is FREE.

 

CARNIVAL MIDWAY: The South Texas State Fair continues the over 50-year tradition it established with the Bill Hames Show by offering an exciting and fun-filled carnival midway provided by Fort Worth based Carnival Americana. Fair-goers’ will again enjoy their favorite rides plus some new and thrilling experiences.

 

 

OPENING DAY AND TIME: Thursday, March 26th.  Opening Ceremonies are 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., at the Archway Entrance Gate.  All in attendance will be admitted to the Fair free immediately following the ceremonies.  Following the opening ceremonies, all admission tickets will be sold at regular price Kids 2 years and under FREE. Youth, 3 ‑ 12 years, $4.00; Adults 13 – 64 years, $8.00; Senior Citizens 65 and over, $4.00. For opening night, Carnival Americana offers special unlimited ride wristbands for just $20.00 until 9:00 p.m.

 

YMBL PRCA SANCTIONED RODEO will take place in the Ford Arena on Friday, March 27th at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 28th starting at 5:00 p.m.  Admission to the Rodeo is FREE with the purchase of a Fair gate admission ticket the day of the Rodeo.

 
 

THE FAIR'S TRADITIONAL KIDS' DAYS will be held on both Saturdays, March 28th and April 4th.  On both days the Fair admits Kids 17 and under, free of charge from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Ride Prices on the Carnival Americana Midway will be $2.00 for all rides for Kids from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. After 3:00 p.m. regular prices apply.

 

ADVANTAGE PLUS HOMECARE SENIOR CITIZENS DAY, Sunday, March 29th.  This Special Day is being set aside for our older Fair‑Goers.  Individuals 60 years of age and over will be admitted to the Fair free from 12-noon to 5:00 p.m.  Then, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. the FAIR will treat this very special group of citizens to a full afternoon of activities in the Plaza Free Entertainment Area.  Free entertainment, snacks and merchandise give‑aways will be some of the special treats.  As an additional treat, The Carnival Americana Midway will be offering FREE Ferris-Wheel and Merry-go-round rides to this same special group from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

KOCH PIPELINE $1.00 NIGHT, Monday, March 30th. On this night Fairgoers can enter the Fair for $1.00 with a coupon, courtesy of Koch Pipeline, AVAILABLE FROM AREA NECHES FEDERAL CREDIT UNION LOCATIONS. Quantities of coupons are limited and are available on a first come first serve basis. Ride prices on the Carnival Americana Midway will be $2.00 each all evening. No coupon necessary to ride each ride for $2.00.

 

$2.00 TUESDAY NIGHT, Tuesday, March 31st.  On this night Fairgoers can enter the Fair for $2.00 with a coupon AVAILABLE FROM www.ymbl.org. In addition ride prices on the Carnival Americana Midway will be $2.00 each all evening. No coupon necessary to ride each ride for $2.00.

 

SONIC DRIVE-IN BUDDY NIGHT, Wednesday, April 1st.  Select area Sonic Drive-In stores give customers a coupon good for two-for-one gate admission to the Fair. The coupon holder and spouse date, or friend may enter the Fair for the admission price of one person. Patrons with coupon are eligible to purchase a wristband for $15.00. (Patrons may purchase carnival wristbands for $20.00 without the coupon.) This wristband permits them to ride the carnival rides on an unlimited basis. Fair visitors without coupon pay regular entry price and regular wristband or individual ride prices. Coupon holders may then redeem their coupons after the Fair at the same Sonic Drive-Ins stores for special food items. Quantities of coupons are limited and are available on a first come first serve basis.

 

ENTERGY MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT, scheduled for Thursday, April 2nd. This promotion allows FREE admission for active, retired, reserve military, National Guard and disabled veterans along with their dependents. A valid military I.D. must be shown at the Fair Admission gate.

 

COCA-COLA/DR. PEPPER CANTASTIC SUNDAY, Sunday, April 5th. During this daylong promotion fairgoers are admitted free, if they bring an empty "six‑pack" of COCA-COLA/DR. PEPPER product cans.  The Fair will donate the cans to a local charity.  Patrons with these product cans are eligible to purchase a wristband for $20.00.  (Patrons may purchase carnival wristbands for $25.00 without the cans.)  This wristband permits them to ride the carnival rides on an unlimited basis. Fair visitors without cans pay regular entry price and regular wristband or individual ride prices.
