Again this
year the Ford Pavilion will come alive with the
“MOTIVA" KIDS FUN ZONE”. Special thanks to the Motiva refinery in Port Arthur which is the largest oil processing plant in North America. There will be special carnival
rides for our younger fairgoers along with games and food.
Also located in the “MOTIVA" KIDS
FUN ZONE”
will be the Double R Exotics Petting Zoo and Camel Rides along with the Gator Country Reptile Show.
The
PETTING ZOO includes nearly every animal you can think of — from the most
exotic to the typical farm animal.
Grab
a handful of tasty treats and see which animals are hungry.
Kids
can see up close those species they have only read about or have seen in the
movies.
Hand-sanitizing
stations are located just outside the petting zoo.
CAMEL RIDES:
Come take a ride on a majestic animal that has crossed the world's deserts for
hundreds of years.
A camel ride is
perfect for each little adventurer to view the carnival atop a camel’s back. Ride available for purchase. Open daily.
PONY RIDES: Pony rides are perfect
for each little cowboy and cowgirl.
Beautiful
Welsh ponies walk carousel-style for their young riders. Ride and photos are
available for purchase. Open daily.
GATOR COUNTRY REPTILE SHOW will appear at the Fair in the “MOTIVA" KIDS FUN ZONE”. This show focuses on educating everyone on the importance of conservation of the American alligator, but that’s not all. They also provide education on crocodiles, snakes, turtles, tortoises and lizards. During the show you will learn about various types of venomous snakes you may encounter while hunting, camping, hiking or having a fun day in your backyard. Personal interaction and interactive excitement are available in a wading pool.
