YMBL members and their families are invited to volunteer to help with Bikes & Bibles.

This event began in 1999 when attorney and philanthropist Wayne Reaud sought a way for his family to give back to their community. Inspired by the scripture “If you really love me, feed my sheep,” he decided to provide food and gifts to underserved children at Christmas.

Remembering the joy of his first bicycle, Reaud chose bikes as the first gift, along with a Children’s Story Book Bible to share the true meaning of Christmas. That first year, 250 children were fed and gifted, and the event was a great success.

Since then, the foundation has expanded to support local children’s homes and orphanages, distributing more than 25,000 bicycles and Bibles to children who might not otherwise have a Christmas.
