YMBL Distributes 500 Thanksgiving Food Boxes, Donates $10,000 to Southeast Texas Food Bank

Before sunrise on Saturday morning, the Young Men’s Business League of Beaumont (YMBL) once again put its mission into action by supporting Southeast Texas families ahead of the holiday season.

YMBL donated $10,000 to the Southeast Texas Food Bank and partnered with the organization to distribute 500 food boxes and hams to families preparing for Thanksgiving.

By 5:30 a.m., volunteers were already on site at Doggett Ford Park organizing traffic and setting up distribution stations. A team of YMBL members cooked a full, hot breakfast for the 100 volunteers and their families who showed up to help.

Despite the early start, the need was immediate. More than 400 cars were already lined up before the distribution officially opened at 8 a.m., stretching across the Fairgrounds as families waited patiently for their holiday groceries.
